Our club is made up of community volunteers just like yourself. By combining our efforts, we are able to make a bigger impact in people’s lives. Take a look at Kiwanis. It’s a fun organization that does great things! Kiwanis clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways. Each community’s needs are different—so each Kiwanis club is different. By working together, members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things happen.
We invite you to visit us for lunch on the second and fourth Thursdays and meet the members! We have been meeting at the China Bowl Restaurant, in Bandera, Texas, but are changing the venue to Pap’s Italian Grill, 632 State Highway 16 S, Bandera, Texas on October 9th. Our meetings begins with lunch combined with club business, and continue with a guest speaker. There is a joining established by Kiwanis International and its Texas-Oklahoma District. Annual club dues are $120.00, payable in increments as small as $10.00 per month, with a portion going to support Kiwanis International the Texas-Oklahoma District. Members are expected to attend as many of our luncheon meetings as possible, and to support our club projects, including water and soda sales during Celebrate Bandera, the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project, dedicated to eliminating maternal/neonatal tetanus around the world, and the Bringing Up Grades (BUG) program for third graders at Alkek and Hill Country Elementary Schools.
